Introduction

The CMSC 426 Image Workshop is a Java applet designed to allow World Wide Web users to experiment with a few simple image processing algorithms. In particular, it demonstrates several different thresholding, smoothing, and edge detection techniques. (In the near future, template matching will also be available). This document not only services as a general users guide, but also explains some of the implementational details of the applet.
